What's new to Geo-Guide


Thank you for your feedback. It has enabled us to target areas of Geo-Guide to improve or change.

Why are we not using Xplorer Maps any more?
  • PNCC has decided to re-design and host it’s own website. With that it made sense to also update the map site.
  • The new map site, Geo-Guide will fit the new vibrant look and feel of the website.
  • With the website being hosted by PNCC we are able to maintain and upgrade the whole website without additional external costs or time delays.
  • We will be able to make modifications to meet the needs of our users.
  • A locally hosted site will have up-to-date data as we do not have to wait for a monthly data load.

  • Map re-size functionality.
  • Change your browser size and the map will adjust to the new extent of the window.
  • Printing
  • We have added a scale bar to the map print output.
  • Product Updates link
  • This link will be replaced with a subscription link in the future.

  • Subscription
  • You will be able to subscribe to a product update newsletter.
  • Subscribers will be notified of any changes when it happen.
  • Users will also be able to make comments on how they use Geo-Guide.
  • Additional layers
  • We are looking into the addition of more layers that might be useful to our users.
  • New layers will include Bus Stops and Bus Routes with Timetables.
  • Event venues
  • Future Works, e.g. Where and when will roads be closed.
