Property maps provide information on parcel details such as
- Legal Descriptions
- House Numbers
- Rating Information
An address and rates search will provide you with information about rates payable,
the Government Valuation and other property information. Parcel data and street
numbers are updated on a monthly basis from Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).
Park and Reserves Maps
Recreation and community facility maps illustrate:
- Reserves
- Playgrounds
- Walkways
These assets are our contribution to the continued health and wellbeing of the Palmerston
North community. Our Parks and Reserves provide the settings and venues for recreation,
leisure and other cultural activities. Trees and open spaces also enhance the amenity
of the city which makes it a pleasant place to live and attractive to residents.
City Planning Maps
The City Planning maps offer a guide to search for land use provisions and zoning
regulations i.e. Industrial, Local Business as examples. This can be done using
the ‘search’ tab entering an address. Maps should be used in conjunction with the
District Plan text (Objectives, Policies and Rules) for the types of activities
that can operate in the city. In addition the maps exhibit a series of interrelated
elements such as
- Heritage sites
- Notable trees
- Designations
- Air Noise contours, etc
